Read all about the Drunense Dunes
The Loonse and Drunense Dunes National Park is often referred to as the “Brabant Sahara.” Here you will find vast sand plains, heathlands, and forests. Wander through the drifting sands, take a bike ride through expansive forests, or go horseback riding or mountain biking over sandy hills. Around this Brabant “desert,” you will find plenty of places to eat and drink.
You are free to explore the drifting sand areas. During your walk or bike ride, enjoy the many birds, insects, and deer. There are several marked walking routes, including one where dogs are allowed to roam off-leash (outside this route, dogs must be kept on a leash). You can also create your own route using the junction network, available for both walkers and cyclists.
